Keeping it Kinky: Eroticism Across the Lifespan explores how pleasure, intimacy, identity, and erotic expression can evolve across the lifespan as bodies, relationships, and support needs change. The course challenges myths about aging and sexuality while examining kink as a flexible wellness tool that may include power, sensation, ritual, fantasy, service, communication, and meaning—not only physically demanding activities.
Participants will discuss consent, caregiving, cognitive shifts, grief, disability, access, and practical “Kink-Mod” strategies for adapting erotic experiences in ways that remain affirming, safe, and connected.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Identify at least three ways aging, disability, caregiving, grief, or changing health needs may affect intimacy, consent, pleasure, and erotic expression.
Describe at least three access-centered “Kink-Mod” strategies for adapting BDSM or erotic experiences to changes in mobility, energy, sensation, or support needs.
Apply an ethical, trauma-informed decision-making framework to a case scenario involving consent, communication, and erotic adaptation for an aging kinky adult.
